The Sumitomo Encounter HT are built to endure wear and tear with their symmetric tread design, which can also be cross rotated to prolong their deployment. Four wide circumferential grooves disperse water encountered on track to increase tire-to-road surface contact for wet grip and protection from aquaplaning. Their zigzagged sipes are positioned in a crosswise pattern for ensuring the tires retain their traction even under light snow. The five ribs on the tread pattern with a continuous center rib enhance traction and the shoulder blocks ensure reliable handling control. Durability under stress and driving experience are significantly enhanced with two steel belts spirally wrapped with polyamide filaments.
